G-d's name...

This video clip inspired me to write this reflection:

One of my favorite classes at my divinity school was doctrine of G-d.  It was a more philosophical approach to G-d but still based on some Biblical doctrines.
Why philosophy? Philosophy by its definition of the word is the love of knowledge.  It helps us to ask all kinds of questions and take a topic of discussion in all kinds of different direction.
Philosophy should never limit us in pursue of better understanding of the examine topic.  Some people in the Church think that the Bible should guide the philosophical pursue of the knowledge of God, however, that is not what I go for.  Yes, the Bible should be one of the sources that we use to help us to understand how people have related and understood G-d in the past but it should not limit the way how we approach this question.  Also, the philosophy should not neglect the Bible.  It should take it in consideration as one of the sources that are very important for a good number of people that are interesting in the question of G-d.
